Today I went in to test for the beginning of my 10 week ultimate bodyshaping challenge. This is my second time through this program. For 10 weeks, you go to class 6 days a week alternating kickboxing and resistance band training. I am going to go at 5:00 am everyday.
I know this is a great program for getting in shape and I need some motivation. Unfortunately, I need to spend an enormous amount of money to get myself to work-out. The $30/month gym membership just doesn't cut it. I guess I just need the commraderie of working out with others and pushing myself to be the best. Plus, in this program you have a coach and they will call/e-mail you if you don't show up for class, so there's accountability as well.
Testing went good, class will start bright and early Monday morning. Wish me luck!!
Anderson had his birthday party this weekend. Both sets of grandparents, Aunt Lexie, Uncle Dallas, and Kristen all came to visit.
We had a taco bar for lunch on Saturday. Once again, Anderson's favorite things were the balloons.
Then we opened presents. Anderson got money and a framed poem from Grandma & Grandpa Schiesl; money, a book, and a cool shirt from Uncle Dallas & Kristen; 2 cute outfits for fall from Auntie Lexie; an awesome new wagon from Grandma and Grandpa Hash; and of course his car from Mommy and Daddy. Here he is opening a few of the gifts.
Next it was time for cake. Anderson enjoyed his once again. This time he was a pro.
While Anderson took a bath, Daddy and Uncle Dallas put together some toys for him to try out.

Luke & I took Anderson to Toys 'r' Us to find his birthday present. They celebrate there by giving the birthday kid a crown and a balloon. Anderson loved the balloon. We were going to get him a trike, but when we tested it out, he fell right off. Maybe next year. We ended up getting him a car that the parents push along. He seemed to like it in the store, so we'll see. Pictures of the assembled product will be included in his birthday party photos.
Anderson got his pictures taken for his 1st birthday today. Here is a video of the best ones. He did pretty good, but he was a lot crazier during this photo shoot. He wanted to crawl all over and explore. LeAnn does a great job though, and she always ends up getting more good pics then I think she could.
Anderson loved his cake. It took him a minute to figure out what was going on, but as soon as I gave him a bite he really started getting into it. Clean-up was not so fun since I was confined to a tiny bathroom with a little sink, but we managed. We had a fun afternoon together.
